Slow Flow Kripalu Yoga
As we shift from autumn to winter, set aside time for your own self-nourishment. Alison's all-level Kripalu yoga classes emphasize mindful movement and connection to your inner guidance; in this series, we'll slow down even more by incorporating gentle yoga postures and restorative yoga. Each class explores themes of "slowing down" through intentional breath work, supportive movement and grounding meditation.
A slow practice helps elicit the "rest and digest" response: assisting your body in unraveling physical tension; providing your nervous system an opportunity to shift out of an alert "fight or flight" state; and supporting your overall wellbeing and contentment. Classes are trauma-informed, encouraging you to make empowered and self-compassionate choices throughout your practice.
